Hello from Vancouver. I'm a brand new registered user, and very happy that I finally stumbled across PDF XChange Viewer. I've been waiting for this product for years!
I notice that CTRL+TAB toggles through the open tabs in spatial order, from left to right. It would be more useful if CTRL+TAB cycled through the open tabs in their most recently used order, just like ALT+TAB in Windows and Linux switches between open windows in their most recently used order. In Firefox, I have the "LastTab" extension installed to accomplish exactly this.
In my opinion, MRU behaviour should always be the default in any program. But, at the very least, could MRU behaviour be added as an option to PDF XChange Viewer?
Cheers,
Martin

Hello noamhoffer,
Apologies for missing your question.
And to share an update to the topic - I am afraid that this feature is still not here - but we do have a FR ticket for it:
#3967: FR: Ability to Ctrl + Tab through the documents in "Recently used order"
Iit has been assigned to a developer - so we will try to get this done sooner than later (I have just increased the priority of the ticket).
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: request: CTRL+TAB == most recently used (MRU) tab order
Hello, eleigh
Still no updates,
but I did notice that the phrasing of the request made it seem much more complicated than it really needs to be for a comfortable and intuitive implementation. Which is likely why it had such a low priority and kept being pushed aside.
I have not only asked the Dev team for a progress update, but extrapolated on the exact need here and clarified that it does not require any special memory functions on what was viewed/edited/entered in which order, but that it would very easily meet needs if Ctrl+Tab offered a "navigate in reverse-tab order" capability.
Hopefully we can see a renewed focus on this ticket, now that it has been clarified.
[Edit] I was the one who misread the intent of this ticket it seems, however, the dev team is now aware of this items outstanding status.
