This feature is present for some formats where text selection is possible in the local application mode, but is not present in the case of PDF-XChange Shell Extensions.

@Jensen, I am sorry to say that, as you can see from the more recent discussions on this, the stance has not changed yet. I will keep mentioning it periodically, but at the moment It is too recent of a discussion for me to bother the Dev team once again (especially given how busy they already are with the other Feature requests all across these forums).

Daniel, ok. Willy above gave good links that I couldn't find by searching the first posts of the threads. The first one is probably because of some Central European language, and the second one is because it's not about adding a text selection feature, but about making this feature the default (I'm against this proposal). Now I know that I would have been better off sending you an email than cluttering the forum with useless "+1"s for other forum users.

Copying this from the other thread for publicity, in relation to making Feature requests:

I should clarify, I was not saying that email is a better solution than posting on the forums. I was saying that our email system is much busier than the forums are. It does not matter where you reach out from, you voice is weighed the same.. I was merely saying that the consideration of a "likes" system would not be as useful here, due to the population spread.
