Textmarkierung im Explorer-Vorschaufester

Leider habe ich keine Möglichkeit gefunden, wie ich Text einer pdf-Datei im Vorschaufenster des Windows-Explorers markieren kann. Es erscheint lediglich das Handsymbol zum Scrollen der Seite(n).
Existiert hierfür eine Lösung?

the preview window is exactly that, for previewing. One cannot modify the documents there. You will need to actually open it in the Editor.

Unfortunately PDF files are considerably more complex than the flow based format of a Word document, with everything being coordinate based. Allowing direct content interaction, instead of showing a simplified preview of the page, would significantly slow down the File explorer when our preview handler is in use, and as such is not something we can offer at this time.

Gibt es eventuell eine Möglichkeit den Text im PDF-Dateien zu markieren, wenn ich eine Alternative zum Windows Explorer nutze?
Im Rahmen meiner Hausarbeit, würde ich gerne von verschiedenen PDF-Dateien Textpassagen kopieren, um diese dann in ein Word Dokument einzufügen. Jede einzelne PDF-Datei zu öffnen ist recht umständlich.

What do you mean by "markieren" ? I doubt between two possibilities: "highlight" and "select".

Probably, you mean "select". In that case, what do you think about using the left half of your screen for Windows Exporer and the right half for PDF-XChange Editor. So, when you double-click a PDF-file at the left, it will open at the right. Almost similar as in Preview.
In that manner, you can easily select and copy text. Closing a document : just one click on the tiny cross in the documents' tab.

We only develop/intend for our preview extension to be used in the native windows explorer,. while it may work in some alternatives, it will not "unlock" any special extra features when doing so. Unless you would classify our Editor as an alternative to Windows explorer, nothing we offer will allow you to select and copy text from a file browser preview pane, and in testing with some of our competitors, none of the products I tested offer this capability either.

They almost certainly have the same reasoning for this lack of selection capability as we do. In order to offer access to the page text, we would essentially need to fully load the entire Editor application inside of that preview pane. This would cause notable delays while using the file explorer, and would slow down your navigation considerably, assuming windows did not auto-disable the shell extension for repeatedly causing such delays. The preview handler is not a full PDF suite, but a simple "thumbnail" of the page, it does not load the full content by design, to ensure that it runs as smoothly as possible.

Ich sehe ein, dass es nicht so funktionieren wird, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe, so dass ich jetzt Willys Idee mit den 2 Fenstern und Doppelklick versuchen werde.

try to use the alternative file manager Total Commander. It has a plugin called SumatraPDF for quick viewing pdf files. With it you can select and copy ("ctrl+c") text from the quick view panel and paste ("ctrl+v") it into other applications like MS Word.

It is indeed possible to use SumatraPDF as pre-viewer for PDF files in Windows Explorer. But it is still not possible to select and copy text from the preview pane, at least on my 64 bit Windows 10. Did I do something wrong?
