Print from command line + "Select paper ... by PDF-pg size"

Post by LuP »

Hello,

it is great that PdfXChange allows command-line printing with:

PDFXCview.exe /printto "Printer" Any.pdf

The problem is that Any.pdf may contain mixed A4/A3 pages and I need to print with "Choose paper source by PDF-page size" (which is a check box in the print dialog).

How to tell PDFXChange Viewer to print with "Choose paper source by PDF-page size" from the command line?

Is there such option?

TIA.

Best regards,

LuP

Hello LuP,

There is no such option in the command line, but if you open one PDF file, and print it through the UI, with all the desired options - those will be saved, and then the same will be used when you print from the command line as well.

Hello,

thank you for the answer.

In fact, I need to print tens or hundreds of .pdf files (with no opening them individually), with "Select page size by PDF" option; that's why I use command-line printing.

Would it be possible to add this option to the command-line interface?

Something like: pdfxcview.exe /printto:pagesourcebypdfpagesize=yes "Printer" Any.pdf?

Best regards,

Hello LuP,

We do not have such plans, so setting it once through the UI, you will then be able to use it for printing on the command line, and this is the only possible solution I can offer.
