A few feature requests...

Post by nuflux »

Hi there, it would be great if you'd consider incorporating the following into future versions:

1) Snap to right angles for callouts

When adjusting the "arm" of a callout, I would like to be able to use the shift or ctrl key to constrain movement of the control points to right (or 45 degree) angles. I notice you can do this with the polygon line tool, but for some reason, not with the callouts. Seems like this should be easy to implement for the callouts too.

2) Saveable paragraph styles

It would be nice to be able to save paragraph styles and apply them to text. Either the styles could be defined separately, or they could be incorporated in the tool styles. For example, I'd like to create a "list items" text box style which has 4 pt indentation/spacing before each paragraph (so list items are spaced out nicely), but right now the paragraph spacing can't be saved as part of the style.

3) Import comments directly from other PDFs

It would be great if you could import comments directly from another PDF, instead of having to export from that PDF first to FDF format, and then import the FDF to the new file.

Thanks!

Hi nuflux,

Thanks for the post and suggestions. I have made an official feature request for these, however, I am afraid that number 2 may not be possible. We shall see.

Please note that a feature request does not guarantee that the feature will be added, only that the development team will seriously consider the request.

Thank you!

Hi, just checking back in on these requests. I am wondering if any consideration has been given to adding a "snap to right angles" feature in particular. Otherwise really enjoying the software. My office has now licensed several copies. :)

Thanks!

Hi nuflux,

Thanks for the post - As far as I'm aware, the requests are still being considered, but I've not seen any updates on this as of yet.

Thanks,

+1 from me on this request! This way, it would be much easier to draw "clean" callouts with perfectly straight arms.

+1 from me. Any snapping is good snapping.
The more places snapping is available the better.
As of now it seems it only works for comments and not base content though....
So enabling things like these for base content as well would be useful in scenarios where you have flattened your comments.
e.g. callout tool in this case.

Disable SPACE page navigation, fix kb shortcut for highlighting advanced search tool search field, bookmarks with numbers, toolbar small icon size, AltGr/Ctrl+Alt keyboard issues

Hello MedBooster and all,

It turned out that we do have had a ticket for this for a while now:
#3752: Content items do not snap to guides, annotations and forms do
I've just nudged that ticket and raised it's priority.

Kind regards,
Stefan
