Hello NilsP,
Welcome to our forums. The correct number of pixels wil be used in the resulting image so when "printed" at 300 DPI it will have the correct dimensions. Some file formats do not carry information about what DPI should be used on screen or reported - so it will matter if you export to e.g. JPEG or TIFF - please try some of the other image formats available and they should report the image DPI correctly.
