How to change the text style or paragraph format?

Post by Puffolino »

When I try to make some text changes in PDF files, the results are surprising (at least from time to time)...

I've enclosed an example file, where the word EXTRA should be entered two times in the text. When entering manually, the character 'E' looks smaller than all other letters. When copying from another location from the PDF file, the paragraph format will be copied as well and destroys the layout. Trying other workarounds, like copying characters from Word etc. will show a different font which can't be changed in the text property (because embedded fonts are not listed).

Is this a limitation or a bug?

Hi,

it seems that when pasting the word "EXTRA", the paragraph formatting is pasted well. Not sure if this can be avoided.

However, I managed to insert the word by inserting it into a new line and then backspacing away everything before the pasted word until it was in place.

Hi guys,

I see the same here and see it irrespective of whether I copy/paste or manually type the word in. I've created an internal dev. ticket for this (RT-3884), so this will be investigated and fixed in a future release.

Cheers,
