License location?

I'd like to automate installation of my license *after* the installation of the product; is there any way to do that? Like, is the license stored in a registry key or a file somewhere that I could write to?

Thanks for the post - There are quite a number of ways that this can be done. Are you using some kind of deployment system (e.g. SCCM, Group Policy, etc.)?

Chocolatey installation using Puppet, but I've managed to modify the Chocolatey package installer to take the /KEYFILE argument, so I think I'm OK. I'm still curious as to where this stuff is stored in the end, though.

License keys are encrypted upon installation to the user or machine, depending on the installation method. The keys should be available from here:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tracker Software\Vault
~or~
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\Vault

They can be installed unencrypted by using the /OPENKEYS argument during installation.
