Post by saysayliam »

[1]My System Environment
[1.1]Windows 7 professional version
[1.2](Free version) PDF-XChange Editor version 7.0 (build 326.1)
[1.3]Acrobat Reader XI

[2]mytest.pdf
As attatched mytest.pdf file
I create 2 text fields.
One is Chinese font field. (font is KaiTi [windows 7 buildin standard])
The other one is Japanese font field. (font is Meiryo UI [windows 7 buildin standard]))

[3]The Issue
when i using PDF-XChange Editor to create mytest.pdf
everything Works Fine in PDF-XChange Editor.
When i using Acrobat Reader XI
to read mytest.pdf file
Firstly, I found It looks OK.
BUT
when I use mouse to click in the field.
The field went wrong as I attach the files shown.
The field can NOT show the correct texts.
And When my mouse leave the Field.
The Field shows correct texts again !!

Hello saysayliam,

Thanks for your post and samples.
Can you please try to update to build 327.1 of the Editor and then try to create a new pdf file from scratch - and see if that works better for you!

Regards,
Stefan

Happy Halloween,

And I just create new test file called mytest2.pdf from update build327.1.
The results are the exactly same as build 326.1.

Hello saysayliam,

Thanks for the file!
I just tested it here at my end - and clicking inside or making edits to either field seems to work fine in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (version 19.008):

Can you please check if you are using the same version of Adobe's products or an older one?

Regards,
Stefan

It still has compatability issue.
See attatches.

Hello saysayliam,

When I attempted to open this document I was informed that Adobe needed a font package to view it, after installing that, the document does indeed view properly both with and without the mouse being in the field:

As this document is working fine on our end, I can safely say it is not an issue with how we are creating the document, but how adobe is displaying it on your end. Please try updating your Adobe suite (it appears that 20081 is the latest available), ensuring that the required font package is installed, and if all else fails, you may need to reinstall or contact their support line directly.
