Hi.
I am using the latest version of PDF Exchange. I would like to convert a file using the Hebrew ocr. However it seems that this option is not available. I downloaded the latest language packs including the one for the middle east package. I even looked in the common files and the hebrew language files seem to be there, but there is no option for Hebrew OCR even when I click on additional languages. I know that it exists, as I have used PDF Exchange on other computers using the HEbrew OCR without an issue. Is someone able to help me figure out what is going on?
Thanks!

Re: Hebrew OCR in PDF Exchange
Hi, ashaffren
The language pack you are seeing is likely for the older "default" OCR engine, and if you recently installed, or have a license for the enhanced OCR, you would have the new Enhanced OCR engine enabled. As these are entirely different engines, they have completely separate language files. The EOCR engine, Developed by LeadTools, does not offer Hebrew as a language, so you cannot select it for OCR with that engine enabled.
If you open the Editor preferences (Ctrl_K), and look to the "OCR" category, you can switch to the "Default" OCR engine. This will remove the ability to create "editable" documents (the old engine can only add searchable text when OCRing), but you will be able to select Hebrew.
Kind regards,
