ghost script -- what is it?

Post by janrif »

Hello, Newbie here.

Searched database for topic but un-found.

When I dbl click a file w pdf ext I get msg cannot find ghost script & there is no association between pdf & pdfXviewer despite of the fact that pdf is associated with the viewer in settings | folder | file type.

However if I run viewer first, I can drag/drop pdf file onto viewer & it displays & works as expected.

Can someone help me with this mystery.

Thank you.

Looks like you have installed ghostview, and had associate PDF files.
PDF-XChange Co Ltd. (Project Director)

When attaching files to any message - please ensure they are archived and posted as a .ZIP, .RAR or .7z format - or they will not be posted - thanks.

The only thing I installed was the pdfexchanger. The problem is solved I discovered by adding edit, view, print, etc to file type association advanced. Thanks anyway.

For the record ...

PDF-XChange is not related to nor does it use any Ghostscript elements - PDF-XChange is 100% independant of any 3rdparty tools (such as ghostscript) other than small portions of a JPEG2000 library licensed from a 3rdparty and obviously Windows itself.
