takes long to load first page of 54 MB file

Post by andreasm1982 »

If I open this file http://www.file-upload.net/download-632 ... 6.pdf.html (54 MB) with pdf-xchange viewer, it takes a long time to load first page....

is it possible to speed it up?

(file loads much faster in foxitreader)

Which version of the viewer do you use? And please say some information about your computer: OS, memory, etc.

Hi,

Please update to Build 34 - you should see some improvement with more to come in Build 35 when improved codec's are added for some image types.

Thanks, but I don't see any difference.

Perhaps build 35 will be better :)

Hi,

First post here (registered to sort out a few problems - all done!).

Just tried a 67MB file (the complete rail timetable for UK) and it opens much faster in 34 than in the last version.

Noticeable improvement here, too, with build 34. Very helpful, because I open many PDF's in the 30 to 70 Meg size range. Thanks!

Another problematic file.

I stopped time to load page 14 in that file:

- foxitreader 2.2 build 2129: < 1 second
- xchange viewer 2 0036: 4 seconds

If there is a medium or high load on CPU from other programs, foxitreader also takes about 1 second. But loading time in xchange viewer grows up to 60 seconds...

No, it was really checked.

I just tried it again, but it doesn't add OS/memory information into mail although it is checked.

bug? :?

I just tried this on my laptop:

It works there, because I tried it with outlook express. On my computer, I use dreammail (http://www.dreammailer.de) and there it doesn't work.

It would work if OS information would be added as .zip, seems that it doen't work to attach information in mail body.

EDIT: switched to outlook express as default mail client on my computer and got this information:
