Unable to type specific characters into field when full and text is automatically shrinking in font size

Post by asdf3sthdhawer53 »

I experienced a strange phenomenon when I'm typing into a field that becomes full and the text is about to shrink in font size in order to fit the entire string into the visible field. Some characters can no longer be entered, for example the letter "l" in lowercase. However the letter "L" in uppercase can still be entered.

I could only get around this by opening the PDF in a different software and typing into the field there.

When I save it and then open the PDF again in PDF-Xchange Editor, now that the text completely fills the field, if I delete 1 character from the field, then the font size does not change and 1 empty space appears so that I can type the letter "l". But if I delete 2 characters, then the font size increases to fill the field and I cannot type the letter "l".
