Fit width doesn't work on the current page you are on, but rather the largest page in the whole document, so if you try fit to width to A4 portrait, but you have 'one single landscape A4 or something bigger, it seems to fit to width for the largest one, maybe enable an option to fit to width the "active"/selected page?
Also, is there a way to make the width appear to be the same even though it is technically different? Or will I then have to individually change the width of every different page.

This happens when you are in "Continuous" page mode. If you switch to "Single Page" - then the fit width will work for the current page only: Kind regards,
