Power users know that Page Range Settings provides a great deal of customization flexibility for many application functions such as Merge Pages. The Help contents do well to describe the UI options.
However, there is one existing customization feature in Page Range Settings that is not articulated: page range in the Custom box does not have to be sequential or even unique. That means that the selected pages do not have to be 1,2,5,6,9-, etc. They can be 1,2,1,6,5,9-,1,4,2-4, for instance, and the user's selection will be honored! Once a custom sequence has been selected, it can even be reversed by putting a check mark in the Reverse Order box. This can be especially useful when merging pages onto a new sheet of pages. It is an expansion of the Page Range selection options and it allows selection of repetitions of specific pages, re-sequencing page selections, and a host of other benefits, again especially when merging pages.
Perhaps it would not be a bad idea to expand the Help section on Page Range Settings above to make this explicit.

Hello PHK,
Yes - such an option has been there for quite some time.
I will pass your post to our colleague working on the manuals so that he can document that as well.
Kind regards,
Stefan
