How to make form field longer?

A PDF document contains already some form fields.

Now I would like to make one of these form fields a bit longer so that 40 instead of 30 chars are shown.

So I switched to "Edit" mode.

But I can not edit those form fields similar to "other textboxes". there are no draggable rectangle selection boxes.

So how can I make the longer otherwise?

You need to select the Forms tool, and when that is active, and you click on a text field - you will be able to resize it:
