Hi,
Lost 6 hours of some fairly challenging work when the PC crashed.
Returning to the system the Document Recovery pane was blank.
Please can you share some extensions I can search for that may be associated with the temporary file that, HOPEFULLY, is on the system still somewhere.
Here are the settings I use:
Sincerely,
SCH

Re: Help Me Find Unsaved File
Hi,
Alas, seems like if the files WERE going to be anywhere, it would have been
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\PDFXEdit
For whatever reason, it seems my PC is erasing any temp files with restarting?
Is there any setting I could put on this directory such that it would NEVER get erased? I can see how that may effect the app's functioning, so, perhaps there's ANOTHER way - can we set the directory for auto-backup to be OUTSIDE the temp directory?
Or, any other workaround?
Thanks,
SCH

Re: Help Me Find Unsaved File
So, I've got my Veritas / Ghost set to backup the Temp file every 15 minutes.
It's not IDEAL, as I can't figure out how to stop the notifications!
)
Along with that inquiry into a way to save the contents of the temp folder from erasing on re-start, please can you tell me if there's an auto-save function? I can see this option:
However, it doesn't seem to be that.
After thinking things over a bit now, I'm probably going to install
https://www.door2windows.com/autosaver-save-the-file-you-are-working-on-automatically/
or, a similar app if there's not anything native to PDFX I'm missing.
Please let me know!
Sincerely,
SCH

Re: Help Me Find Unsaved File SOLVED
Hello SCH,
Unfortunately, we currently do not have Auto Save option.
These options are the closest thing to a save option, but those are intended to help with a crash of our own product, not the whole system:
Please also let me point out that it is never a good idea to not save your files for several hours. If something happens to the computer, there is a high chance that you could get some data missing.
Regards.
