I can highlight text but can't find how to delete it.
Deleting the selection does nothing.
How to undo a highlight?

Re: How to undo a highlight?
Hello, Komerad
Highlights are a type of comment, unfortunately in PDF they are not directly associated to the text below them, but instead have an X/Y coordinate that happens to make them overlap with the text. To delete highlights, you will need to use the "select comments" tool, then click the highlight on its own, and press the delete key on your keyboard.
Kind regards,

Well, yes, Highlights are 'geographic' rather than "content' but that doesn't mean you cannot delete them.
If you open the Comments panel, you can find the Highlight and delete it there, no?

Re: How to undo a highlight?
Hello, PHK
If we are getting technical, all page content (comments or otherwise) in a PDF uses coordinates, but I digress. Yes, as I mentioned in my post above, it is indeed possible to delete highlights, you simply need to select them in some way or another first. I find visually with the "select comments" tool to be the simplest, but you indeed could also try to locate the specific one from the page you are on within the comments pane (Ctrl_M) and delete it that way too.
My first sentence was simply clarifying that deleting the base content text object behind the highlight will not also delete the unrelated comment object, at least not yet.
Kind regards,
