Re: not working with android
Hello Arun Mangattil,
Welcome to our Forum.
I'm pretty sure the problem is the lack of Java support on Android, but if you'd like, please send us one of the files you're having this problem with and we'll confirm if that's the case. Most Android PDF software is capable of displaying PDF files, and some might even allow you to fill in plain simple text form fields, but advanced interactions like one field toggling the visibility of another is not really supported.
Also can you please let us know which PDF viewer are you using on your Android device?
Regards.

Hello Arun Mangattil,
Thanks for the sample file. Indeed that red text is a read only text field that is shown/hidden by the checkbox, and it would appear like the mobile PDF readers are unable to handle this.
Attached is a "coded" version of the same effect but I presume that will also not work for you (it didn't seem to work for us in our mobile device tests). This is a limitation of the mobile PDF tool, and not of how the file is written - as it is still compliant with the PDF specification.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Hello Arun Mangattil,
Other than finding an Android App that would handle these JavaScripts - I can not really think of a solution.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: not working with android
In general, at least if you like annotating with a stylus for example, I would recommend Flexcil, which lets you see Bookmarks (though in the app it is called "Outline")
As opposed to a reader like Samsung Notes, which sadly is not able to import PDF bookmarks like Flexcil..
Though both are generally good at importing PDFs with correct elements (shapes and text), --- except the occasional 90 degree rotated sticky note tool (which I think is a S Notes problem, not a PDF xce problem.
Android apps are a bit weird sometimes though.
For example: highlights (highlighted text) in various color only appear in yellow (no other color) when opened in Google Drive on my android devices.(Samsung Tab s7+ and Samsung Note 20 ultra currently)
edit:
but unfortunately I would not know of a PDF editor/reader that actually functions as PDF xchange editor, in that you don't have to import the file and store it locally, but that you can edit it and that it gets reuploaded automatically (to Google Drive for example)

Disable SPACE page navigation, fix kb shortcut for highlighting advanced search tool search field, bookmarks with numbers, toolbar small icon size, AltGr/Ctrl+Alt keyboard issues

Re: not working with android
Hello, All
It is very much worth noting that for both Android and iOS platforms, there are a multitude of reasons why the PDF specification is difficult to properly implement. Even the apps produced by Adobe and Google (which to my knowledge are the only PDF apps on mobile which properly respect the Specification, even in a limited sense) are not capable of utilizing all PDF capabilities.
I would very highly recommend that you do not use a mobile device as your primary means of interacting with, filling or editing PDF documents. Mobile devices, and the apps made for them are essentially designed as viewing options with minor additions, and are not fully featured or capable PDF solutions. In far more cases than not they are not yet able to make use of the full feature set that PDF is capable of.
There are numerous reasons why we are not yet considering developing our own app for a mobile platform, and the technical challenges contained therein is a one of those key items.
