after writing comment, cannot copy from text of pdf

Here is the defect.
1. Open a pdf with PDF-XChange Viewer (Build 34).

2. Click on the textbox tool (just to the right of "Typewriter"), draw a textbox, and type something in it.

3. Click on the text selection button again and select some text from the original pdf (not from the textbox). Now, click/open the edit menu. Notice that the "copy" option is not highlighted and is not functional.

4. To get it to work again, do this: Double-click on the textbox you drew earlier and select some text. Now select some text in the original pdf (the textbox will close itself without anything changing). Like magic, when you click/open the edit menu, the "copy" option is highlighted and functional again.

In the world of bugs, this is kind of a gnat. Pesky, but not so bad.

Thank you - that solved my problem which is exactly what you described but I didn't know the circumvention.
