Problem after update
I'm having trouble with my file explorer becoming unresponsive since I updated my PDF X Change Editor. I uninstalled the whole program, and the problem was solved. I reinstalled the latest version and my file explorer is starting to bug again. Has anyone had this before and know how to fix it?? It's really painful...

Re: Problem after update
Hello, Nancy1984
I cannot say that ive seen any reports regarding this in the current release, the first steps would be to try re-registering the shell extensions, and then restarting your PC, to see if that helps at all.
You can re-register the shell extensions by following the steps here: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... extensions
Kind regards,

Hello, Nancy1984
The article included a 5 step process, just to be sure, did you restart the PC as mentioned after re-registering?

Re: Problem after update
Hello, Nancy1984
My apologies, thank you for clarifying.
In that case, do you see the same delay if you disable the "preview handler" extension specifically? You can use our Shell utility (the first method) to do this. If disabling the the preview handler does not resolve the issue, please try disabling the "thumbnails" and then each of the others to see if any one of them, once disabled, restored the file explorer to normal working order.
If you find that a certain one can be disabled to resolve the issue, please let us know so we can take a look at that and see what is going on. In the meantime, leaving that one disabled will be your workaround.
If all of them can be disabled and the file explorer is still having these issues, it may indicate something is wrong within windows itself, and checking that you have all the latest windows updates installed could help.
