Hello,
I use the PDF-XChange Editor (version 10.1.3) and have to open, edit/stamp, save and close hundreds of PDF files per day.
Is it possible that the PDF-XChange Editor remains open in the background to shorten loading times even though I actually closed it using the "x"?
Best regards
Markus

Re: PDF-XChange Editor should continue to run in the background
Hello RufusRed,
We do not have such an option, however the Editor -even if closed should launch back up pretty quickly if it's components were not purged from the memory.
E.g. for me on my machine the initial editor load time in the morning (cold start) - is 4-5 seconds, and during the day it's usually under a second despite having it closed between files.
Alternatively - you can use Ctrl + W to close a specific PDF file tab, while keeping the Editor open, so that the next time you open a file - it's already started and ready for you!
Kind regards,
Stefan

There is "Close to System Tray" via the File-menu > Preferences > General > (Tabs and Windows) > Setup...
When "Close to System Tray" is active and you close PDF-XChange Editor with the "x" (not File > Exit), its icon shows up in the System Tray (right side of the Windows Task bar) and PDFXEdit.exe stays active in Windows Task Manager.
To really quit PDF-XChange Editor, right click on its icon in the System Tray and click "Exit".
Kind regards.

Thank you Stefan for the answer.
Willi Van Nuffel showed me the solution to my problem, which is exactly what I need.
Thanks to both of you

Hello Willy Van Nuffel,
I stand corrected - I was unaware we have that option!
@ RufusRed - sorry for not pointing it out myself!
Kind regards,
Stefan
