Does PDF-XCE itself have any jitter correction for stylus input? Or does it entirely depend on how Windows 10 interprets and outputs the input?
You see.. I've noticed that handwritten text (Pencil tool) in PDF-xce appears fine when I am zoomed in at levels of 300%+, but when I am writing at around 100% the text appears more jittery.
You might say that this is due to the thickness... But I'd say that it seems that the same thing happens if I increase the thickness so that it is relatively speaking the same proportional difference between zoom level and Pencil line thickness....

Re: Stylus behavior smoothness jitteriness correction zoom level correlation [Question] [Bug?]
Hello, MedBooster
I am not entirely certain if we do anything special in this area, I do know that we have some degree of smoothing in place which can be configured, but that should not result in a more "jittery" appearance. Do you see the same issues using the same stylus/device in other apps, or is this issue exclusive to the Editor?
If it is exclusive to our software, would it be possible to record a video of the two writing methods, and perhaps include a sample document so we can take a look at the two outputs side by side?
Kind regards,

Re: Stylus behavior smoothness jitteriness correction zoom level correlation [Question] [Bug?]
Hello again!
After some further testing I can confirm that there does appear, on visual inspection after placement, some reduced "point" frequency to letters written at a higher zoom level. However, this is not something we could consider "a hardware or software fault" and is instaed that, regardless of zoom level, the stylus only reports its position in set intervals (eg, if a stylus reports its position 10 times per second, a word written at a lower zoom level, will have much more space between each point, so a higher zoom level's writing will always appear "smoother" than something written at a lower zoom level.
Kind regards,

It also appears that the jitteriness is more severe when you use a thinner stroke width. So maybe ... the correction is basically the same for wide lines and thin lines. That could be it. If I get to make a decent recording showing some comparison with another software I will send it here
However, it's a bit difficult to reproduce the jitteriness at times.

That sounds very logical btw! Thanks for doing some testing yourselfTrackerSupp-Daniel wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 10:28 pm Hello again!
