Sessions in menu disappeared

Hello,

I searched the forums, but could not find an appropriate thread.

After too many coffee, or so, I somehow pushed some keys (or clicked somewhere) and PDF-X does not show "Sessions" in File -> Open anymore. I guess this is not a glitch, nor are the sessions missing per se, they can be called using ".", but missing in the File menu.

The screenshots is showing the "working app", i.e., state before disappearance. I searched Settings, but could not identify how to get it back.

How to restore it?

Please opent he customize toolbars menu (right click any empty toolbar area and select the last option), and with that turned on click on File - then right click "Open" to select to "Reset Menu" - this should restore the Sessions for you.

thanks for quick reply. This is bizarr, sessions just appeared again BEFORE I read your post. It is just back. The right click doesn't seem to work: Wherever I click, there is not such menu like you show in the screenshot.

Is it possible that you were looking at another menu before, perhaps the "save as" menu? Session only appears on the "Open" tab, since it is intended to be used for rapidly opening files, and not, for example, "saving" them.

Beyond that, to answer your question to Stefan, you would need to open the "customize ui" menu first, from the main toolbars, by right clicking on any blank space in the UI. After the customize ui menu is opened, then these options appear.

This is why it is a good habit to keep backups of all yours settings. Sometimes my whole UI gets reset if PDF-xce crashes unexpectedly

It seems to be working well for me...

I can even rearrange the Sessions window and buttons freely


by the way, referring to the second screenshot, I was wondering how I could export import ONLY sessions. Which of these settings contains all sessions?

You may export/import them by using this option:
