Identity Options "Get the information from Active Directory" is grayed out

 From Preferences>Identity>Identity Options "Get the information from Active Directory" is grayed out

Other users using 9.1 and 9.4 version this feature is not grayed out.

Troubleshooting taken.
>Installed 9.1 version Identity Options "Get the information from Active Directory" is grayed out
Uninstalled and tried 9.4
>Installed 9.4 version Identity Options "Get the information from Active Directory" is grayed out
>Version 10.0.1 still the same issue
>Screenshot attached: YES

Could you please tell me whether a server manages your computer?

I'm asking you this because this option is only active when a server manages the computer/account.

The pc affected are connected to AZURE AD Join.

Other PC that has no issue connected to corp.jti.com

as I understand it we only poll looking for a local DC. I do not think it supports Azure AD at this juncture. I will reach out to the devs and get confirmation.

I've tested different computers and if its connected to Domain no issue, but if the computer connected to AZURE AD not working.
I think you can close this POST as per isolation it will not work only directly connected to a domain.

we have the task that all our computers are not in a domain, but are connected to Azure.
Now the “Get the information from Active Directory” is grayed out.
But we urgently need this information, otherwise a large part of our stamps will not work.

Has there been any feedback from the development team in the meantime?

I really have to apologise here. I dropped the ball on this one, and I have also been away. I literally just enrolled in a webinar entitled: "Streamlining Your Migration from Group Policy and SCCM to Intune and Entra ID" to get up to speed on the latest on the subject. It is in 2 weeks time.

Given how long I have made you wait already, is that too far away? I can try some examples here in the meanwhile, but I would prefer to get up to speed again first.

Maybe I am being to concerned about things being "the latest"? What is your preference here?

We have discussed your proposal internally.
As we have over 1500 licences in use and will be starting the migration to Azure next week, we want to leave no stone unturned and need all the information you can offer us.

Could you please send us some examples so that we can test our stamps.
We primarily use the identity values and cannot do without them.

Yes. I am sorry, we are short staffed until next week and I have been unsuccessful prioritizing the time.

it's a pity that after 10 days I still haven't received any feedback or a solution from you!
In the meantime, we have dealt intensively with the issue ourselves and also solved everything.
Now we have the identity despite azure connect.
We can therefore use the stamps again.

Did anyone ever solve this issue?

We have recently moved from domain to Azure AD, and the identity section is now empty as it can't pull from Active Directory.

I was hoping to write a powershell script or something to pull user info from Azure/Entra and update the relevant registry key or something, but I can't find identity settings anywhere in the Registry.

Any help would be awesome Thank you
