Editing Command Properties

I am currently on the "Commands" tab in the "Customize Toolbars" window. I want to change the description and the title for a couple of commands because it seemed a bit confusing to me. However, when I press "Properties" and try to edit (the title, for instance), despite the cursor showing up inside the text box, the program doesn't allow me to change its content.

Is this a glitch? If it isn't, is there any way to edit command properties? (only the shortcuts can be edited successfully)

At this time these are not editable, no. As you have found, the only item in this menu which you are directly able to modify is the shortcut in use to access that tool.

It is unlikely, but we shall have to wait and see. These fields have existed since before I was hired (about 6 and a half years ago). From what I have gathered, they were added with some unique intents in the past, somewhat related to the possibility of plugin support, which has since been scrapped. The UI has been left in place incase we ever begin that again, but for now it is not on our list.
