How to add a certificate to list of trusted identities/certificates?
In Adobe Acrobat, if the validity of a signature is unknown, you can view the signer's certificate by clicking on "Show Signature Properties". From there, you can add the certificate to Trusted Identities. Once this is done, clicking on "Validate Signature" will validate the signature with a green checkmark. Is there a way to achieve a similar result in PDF XChange Editor?

Hello, pedraces
To begin, it is worth noting that the Editor does not by default attempt to validate signatures, this means you will often see the message "NOT VERIFIED". This does not mean the signature is invalid, it simply means that no attempt to verify it has been done yet, you can quickly verify all signatures in a document by clicking the button in the top of the signature pane: If you wish to make the editor do this automatically on document opening (note that this can cause a slow startup to occur with many files), you can enable this in the preferences, under the signatures category: Finally, regarding unknown/untrusted signatures, you can open the "view certificate" menu just like in adobe, using our software: From there, you will see why the certificate may not be trusted, and usually information on how to enable trust for it: Kind regards,

Re: How to add a certificate to list of trusted identities/certificates?
Is there a way to get that green checkmark, the one that Acrobat shows after the signature validation is successful? I was issued some documents online that were signed with digital signatures. If I wanted to print these out and use the hard copies offline, the printouts would need to have that green checkmark on them. That's the only way these documents would be accepted by government officials in my country.

Hello, pedraces
I am afraid I do not know what checkmark you speak of here... Adobe does not appear to make any visible changes to the page content, which is how signatures are supposed to function in PDF. Making any changes to their appearance would invalidate them. Both our software and Adobe show a green checkmark after clicking "validate all" (or configuring the software to do so on file open) as I mentioned in my previous post.
Can I ask you to please send a screenshot of what you mean the the above is not it?
Kind regards,

Hello pedraces,
Signatures have a background image. So if you add your checkmark as such a background image you would then be able to achieve the desired result: Kind regards,
Stefan
