Motherboard change

Post by StudentT »

Hello,

My laptop motherboard failed. Lenovo changed it as part of the warranty.

I attempted to reenter my license number to activate my software. I am getting the below message

Unable to activate the key.
Reason: maximum number of activations reached for this key.

It is the same computer. No change

How can I remedy this?

Hello, StudentT,

Please follow the steps below to migrate to a new device:

1. First, remove the license from the old PC, via "Help > License Key > [select key] > Remove". (If the old device is inaccessible, or has been wiped, you can consider step 1 complete).
2. Second, Depending on your license type, you will likely need to remove the old device from your "Activations List" for the key. This can be done via your account page at https://www.pdf-xchange.com/login
3. Third, navigate to your account page on the new device, where you can download and install the correct installer for your license, and get a copy of your license key to use in the new installation.
