Hi,
after the last update, when I have to open a pdf file, I have to wait at least 7-8 seconds before it loads, whereas before it opened straight away. I tried installing everything again, but the file loading is still slow.

Hello MPal,
Does this happen with every file, or just with the first one for the day?
Could it be that it is the initial 'cold start' of the Editor itself that takes those few initial seconds?

Hi Stefan, thanks for your reply. This only happens with the first file of the day, but before the update it didn't happen.

Hello MPal,
Do you remember which version you had before the update? If it was significantly older - maybe there were less tools and components that the Editor needed to load, so it was starting faster. It is expected that the first time for the day when you start the Editor your OS will need to load a lot of new information into memory, so that it can properly start the Editor. Then the file loading is at the usual speed. On my machine it is about 5s for the first load of the day. If for you is significantly slower - do you have any network resources that e.g. need checking the first time the Editor starts?
