"Save Thumbnail" for "Save As" / "Export" to .docx
Currently, saving a PDF document to Microsoft Word XML format creates a document that does not include a preview image of the first page of the document, forcing me to resave it using Microsoft Word. This occurs regardless of whether "Save As" / "MS Word Document (*.docx)" or "Export" / "Export to Microsoft Word Document" is used. Actually, there is no setting that would allow Thumbnail to be included in a document, or would indicate not to include Thumbnail in a document.

Hi, Jensen Head
sorry if I am being obtuse, but what thumbnail are you referring to? Where do you typically see the thumbnail you are looking for?

In all file managers that support displaying file thumbnails if the OS has appropriate thumbnail handlers, and thumbnail display modes are enabled in the file manager and OS.Paul - Tracker Supp wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 4:03 pmWhere do you typically see the thumbnail you are looking for?
This is what .docx documents look like with and without embedded thumbnails in Microsoft Windows 10.0.19045.4651' File Explorer with Microsoft Office 16.0.14332.20721 installed:

Re: "Save Thumbnail" for "Save As" / "Export" to .docx
Hi, Jensen Head
now I learned something today. I was under the impression these were generated dynamically and not at all dependent on the file having the thumbnail information itself inside the document.
On discussing this with the team I learned that there is such content that we should be adding to the files, the guys already noticed this and have fixed it for the next release.
So I am going to call that a win/win. I learned something AND the issue is addressed for the next release.
