iFilter critical for Vista sales

OK, I persuaded many coworkers to first try PDF-XChange Viewer and they really like it. They are considering purchase of the commercial programs.

here's the problem: We have Vista computers and the Windows Desktop Search does not work with PDF-XCHANGE products -- instead of previewing a "hit," it automatically opens any PDF file that is highlighted.

That has sent most back to Adobe Acrobat or Reader. I'm thinking of doing the same since our company still has a contract. I HATE Acrobat but I use Windows Desktop Search so much I can't use PDF-XCHANGE.

Bottom line: When are you coming out with an ifilter to index PDFs? Adobe built their latest one into their reader and acrobat.

We are hopig to introduce this in Build 2.038 sometime in May - if all goes to plan.
