I would understand that the following might be a request-too-far but how about giving it a thought or two?
The Combine Files is function is a very useful thing to have. It brings almost all features of files together into one new file. However, the one thing that does not survive the combining is custom page names. It is a real pain in the butt to have to go back and recreate custom page designations following a Combine Files operation. I can see no way of copying or exporting a set of custom designations from one file to another, is there?
Obviously, the new file needs to have its own basic page-numbering but cannot user-defined page names and numbers be superimposed over that basic page-numbering structure?
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration of this suggestion.

Re: Feature Request: Preserve Page Numbers in Combine Files
Hello, PHK
It may be possible in cases where every single page from a document is being included, but as the combine dialogue offers the ability to import only sections of a document, it could cause situations where you have dozes of "single page" page ranges in the output file.
I will pass this along for consideration, but I cannot make any promises here.

Re: Feature Request: Preserve Page Numbers in Combine Files
By "only sections of a document" I assume you mean page ranges which is an option; I don't see any other non-page options. But in an ideal World I would like to see even opted-in page ranges get the same treatment so I don't see a show-stopper there.TrackerSupp-Daniel wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 4:55 pm ...

But thank you for pushing the "forward" button on this and I hope it can be accommodated.
