Custom stamps are now not free?

Before I could make a stamp with simple text for free. Now when I do it, it has a 'buy now' water mark ?

that has not changed. I just tested in in the current build with no license and there are no watermarks or warnings.

It just worked for me. Can you give me the steps you took so I can attempt to reproduce the issue here perhaps?

add new stamp > add custom stamp -> drew 2 lines, made them black to make a check mark, saved and then i get the attached image.

I am using 10.4 build 388.

I am still not getting watermarks. Can I get a screen shot of the "Create Custom Stamp" dialogue as you create it perhaps?

Obviously that watermark was programmed in by you. Is there anyway to totally remove it from your code in relation to stamps?

Oh I think I know the issue. Try changing the width and height of the stamp. That seems to trigger the watermark.

Yes - if you change the page size - that is a licensed feature, as well as using interactive form fields would require an Editor Plus license.
So some stamps you can create for free, and others would require a license.

The request to get that sorted out is already with our dev team. For now we do not have confirmation that it would be fixed for 389, but it is in the pipeline and will be sorted out as soon as we can.

Still having problems with this. Sometimes on a new install it will be fine and not give me water marks when I write on it and save it with our without a custom stamp (sometimes just writing text on it will trigger the watermark) and sometimes on a new install on another pc it will be fine.

Have you looked into this at all? Seems extremely strange. I get that you want people to buy your program but I think we need to make it clear whats free and whats not rather than this inconsistent behaviour.

No not resizing but I do make custom stamps, I think I can keep them the same size and then i get triggered if I do any sort of typing of text or adding my custom stamp. It doesn't happen on all my computers. I think i get lucky on 50% of my computers and it doesn't happen. I think the ones its not happening on have older versions though.

Okay, thanks. Next time this happens can you please make a note of the operation that resulted in the demo watermarks being added and report it in this thread? It sounds like you are unsure of which operation is causing the issue. Creating/adding custom stamps alone should not add demo watermarks - I've just teseted that in the current version and there was no issue with that. You mentioned typing text - that is a premium feature and adding text to documents will result in watermarks being added when the changes are saved. If you are using older versions and finding some issues, then please include the version number when you are reporting the issue in the forum.

Wait a minute adding just text (typing it on top of the PDF) is a premium feature?

I have some computeres where I do this and get no watermarks ? But maybe they are running an older version? Was that free before and then later on you made it premium ?

Ok this makes no sense. On one of my computers I actually have the latest PDF X-change but I can type text all day long and get no watermarks. I am so confused.

Hi Tobias,

Yes, adding text to documents is a premium feature and doing so will add watermarks when the document is saved. Can you please clarify which feature you are using to add the text? If you are using a commenting feature, it will not result in demo watermarks, as commenting is a free feature. If you are using the Add Text Tool then demo watermarks will be added:

Ohhhhhhh yes I am using comments only. Comments and stamps thats it. It is inconsistent. On some of my computers i get water marks. On others theres no water marks. And thats with the latest version and using making and using custom stamps and comments only.
