Net Documents

Our company uses a document management system called Net Documents. Because PDF-Xchange does not integrate with Net Documents, we are running in to many issues with checking in our documents after we close the PDF file. When I asked Net Documents about this is the response -

Currently, NetDocuments does not have native integration with PDF-XChange for automatic check-in/check-out. Unlike Adobe Acrobat, which integrates directly with ndOffice for seamless check-in/check-out, using PDF-XChange requires manual check-in management. If automation for PDF check-ins using PDF-XChange is needed, a third-party solution would be required, as NetDocuments does not provide this capability directly. The integration would come from PDF Xchange as 3rd party apps build their integration with us unless your Adobe or MS.

Would this be something PDF XChange be able to work on?

thanks for the post. I am afraid that this is something we have looked at in depth and made the decision not to do. The NetDocs licensing alone is beyond what we could ever imaging seeing in return. Add to that the cost of development and support and it does not represent an investment we are prepared to make.

I also use NetDocs with version 4.0.1.20604 of ndOffice. If I open a pdf document using the web interface for NetDocs (i.e., I click on the document name in NetDocs), then the file will open in PDF-XChange. I can change the document, save changes, etc. and they are seemlessly linked to NetDocs. When I close the document, it is automatically checked-in (I just confirmed this).
