Hi,

There an issue with Edit Objects Tool

Steps to reproduce
In Preferences > Commenting : Uncheck Allow Draw with a Finger Touch
1. Open this file

File_Scroll issue.pdf

2. Select Edit Objects tool
3. Scroll over the area where there are annotations with finger touch. Scroll up then down

Actions bellow performed with finger touch

maybe I am missing something, but with Edit objects tool selected it is supposed to select those object.

On the surface Pro I am using two fingers to scroll as well as zoom and it is not interfering by selecting anything.

How are you scrolling with finger touch may I ask?

Hi Paul,

I scroll the touchscreen with one finger.

As I said in steps to reproduce, you may scroll up and down multiple times to reproduce the issue.

You certainly should be able to reproduce it with this other file.

As usual, In Preferences > Commenting : Uncheck Allow Draw with a Finger Touch

As you can see in following GIF, it immediately causes unintentional object moving when I scroll over the green area
There is no issue if I scroll on the right side without the area highlight.

It's reproducible if you select Edit Text tool as well.

I also noticed an odd behavior if you select the Select page region tool

How to set the scrolling to up and down only? I do not want the documents to move left right by accident. Any way to lock the scroll to up or down only?

It's not yet supported and it has been reported here.

Hi,

Did you manage to reproduce the issue with the new file provided ?

After further investigation, I think that implementation of RT#7084: FR: "allow draw with xxx" disabled - inherit exclusive mode from hand tool related to another issue reported here should fix the issue in this topic as well.

It looks like it will also fix the DisableTouchSelect issue reported by @rakunavi.
