I can not print PDF files with the viewer 2.036 any more as no printer is offered for selection in the print menu. The name field in the printer dialogue is blank dark blue, printer status is idle and I can only see the yellow error triangle with exclamation mark in the preview window.
I have no idea when the selection of printers was lost, because my concept of PDF is to use less paper Recently I upgraded to a registered 2.036 Pro version. I have already uninstalled, cleaned the registry with CCleaner and reinstalled via the setup, yet I still can't see my printers. With a second registered version on my Notebook printing is no problem (German WinXP, with all MS patches).
The installed printers are still accessible from all other programs. So I am back on Adobe for printing ... Please advise.
Is there any hope my issue could be resolved? I have not done it myself yet, as I would have been willing to volunteer - to a certain extent - if you want to try an improved setup or uninstall routine.
I had tried the latest beta though without any success (uninstall first). So I removed it again because of other issues. Afterwards I went back to build 36 - with still the missing printer.
If I don't hear from you I would manually remove all directory and registry entries that I can identify and try a fresh install.
Please run the viewer, then choose Help -> Report a propblem...
Into dialog "Report a Problem..." please check the "Include your printers and settings info (reccomended)" option (it is checked by default).
Press Next... button. Now your default email client which new email window should be opened. If you are using Outlook you can be warned that 3rd party application tries to send email. Please press "Allow" button.
Into new email window you should see some attachements, and "printers.zip" should be there.
Now you can send this email.

Firstly I would suggest you try and moving the registry under the path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFViewer\Print
If this does not help, I will send you a debug version of the viewer with some debug output messages to detect where the problem is, looking at the information you have sent via the 'Report a Problem' option and it looks correct and should not causes any issues.

Sure, it's great that it works again, but actually I am little bit disappointed that the viewer is one more of those many programs that have an uninstall routine that doesn't do the job. What is the uninstall worth if not all registry entrys are removed? To manually have to remove a leftover reg entry is not what I would expect from a good program ...
