Modified web-links in PDF
Sometimes I have links where the text shows the correct address, but the link behind it - see the tooltip - is wrong. Like here - a PDF made from XChange 8.
Any ideas what to do with it?You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Modified web-links in PDF
Hi,
I suppose your question is about: how to correct it ?
Procedure:
- In the Home-ribbon, click "Add/Edit Links".
- Click on the link that needs to modified.
- Now, click "Properties", via right-mouse-click on the link itself, or via the "Link Tools/Format"-ribbon.
- In the "Link Properties"-pane, click on "Open a Web Link".
- This will show the "Edit Action List"-window, where you can click "Edit" in the toolbar and edit the link.
- Click OK and OK, then close the Properties-pane, and click the "Select Text"-icon in the Home-ribbon.
When you now put the mouse pointer over the link, the tooltip and the link itself should be working correctly.
Kind regards.

Thanks Willy,
I tried to follow your instruction, but the document is signed and I can not edit the link. But when I copy the text and the link and paste it to word, then I get:

Re: Modified web-links in PDF
Hi,
The problem is related to "ligatures" in the font.
See a similar topic about this in the past:
viewtopic.php?t=40523
There is nothing much you can do about it, except correct the text.
When you open the sample document in the topic here above and look into the Content-pane, you can see the text behind the hyperlink.

PDF-XChange Editor tries to recognize the hyperlink, but it is still wrong (build 395).
@PDF-XChange Support
There was a promise to look into this problem...
Kind regards.
Willy

Hi All,
Just a quick update that our devs asked me to make a ticket for this issue so here it is:

Cheers,
Stefan
