CAN I SAVE TABS AS A GROUP TO REOPEN AT A LATER SESSION?

i FREQUENTLY HAVE MULTIPLE PDF DOCUMENTS OPEN TO REFER TO DURING A DRAFTING SESSION. THEN WHEN I NEED TO TURN OFF THE COMPUTER, I HAVE TO SEARCH AND FIND ALL THOSE DOCUMENTS THE NEXT TIME i BEGIN WORKING. CAN I SAVE THEM TO A GROUP SO THAT I CAN JUST OPEN THAT GROUP ON THE NEXT SESSION?

THANK YOU V3RY MUCH. SORRY FOR CAPS, MUCHO LAZIO.

Hi,

The feature you are looking for is called "Sessions":
- while the needed PDF's are open, click the File-menu > Open > Sessions
- here you have two options:
-- Save Current Session
-- Save Current Session to a File
Select one of these two, give it a name and save.

The next time that you need a group of documents, just click the File-menu > Open and click one of the available sessions or click "Open Session from a File", in case you did save the group like that.

More info: https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxe10/se ... b=sessions

Kind regards.

Hi ccathy,

I would like to add to Willy Van Nuffel's answer that it is also possible to save/restore the last working session using the options in the Manage Sessions dialog, which I have demonstrated in the screenshot. You can also find these options in Preferences -> Documents.

It seems to be for your case where you want to pick up where you left off yesterday and not worry about whether you “saved” at the end of the day. It will work automatically.

I hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Misha

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR ANSWERS!

When I did a search in the online help manual, I didn't know what term to use to search for. I was using "group" and "tabs", and nothing came up. I didn't even know which Menu to search in the program. I am getting too old for this. :lol: :lol: :lol:

@ccathy
Yes, surprising that you did not think about searching for "session" like in the title of your topic here in this forum.

@MishaH
Thanks for your contribution.

@PDF-XChange support
Please ask your colleagues to add Misha's information to the online manual.
It seems like it is not up-to-date anymore.

Kind regards to everyone.
