Scanner presets won't save

Editor Plus user here… I'm trying to edit the scanner presets without success.

The default Sides preset for Grayscale Document is Simple Scan:


When I change it to Full Duplex (Hardware):


And then click Apply, or OK, it does not save and reverts to default.

Next, I cloned Grayscale Document preset, and the same thing happened with the clone... the change did not stay.

The only way I can do this now is to use the custom scanner settings, but that misses the advantage of a preset.

What am I doing wrong?

First, I should note that you can upload png images directly to our forums, there is no need to use imgur links. Since standard users cannot inherently post extremal links anyway, those items are invisible to everyone other than the admin team, until one of us edits your posts to show them.

Now, relating to the issue at hand. I presume you are making the changes from the preferences menu. Could I ask you to please try and make changes to one of your presets, then use the "file > manage settings > export settings" function immediately (include both "common" and "presets" if they are available). After that, please use the "reset settings" option, and restart the software. Then, try making creating a new preset once again, and export those settings the same way (name this export, "After reset"). Please place both exports in a Zip archive, and upload them here for testing and review.
