Re: Rendering issue
Hello Loki@99,
Not sure why at the 100% zoom that my Acrobat Reader opens this file the zeroes are shown as expected, but at other zoom levels they are also showing it like we do: So there's likely some defect with the file itself - it does seem to have been e.g. scanned and then vectorized, but with not too great quality - so that is likely why you get such results. I will check with our devs to see if there's a way to display that better.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Rendering issue
Hello again Loki@99,
I received some further news from our devs that the way the fonts in this document are created in a way that their internal contours are not oriented properly. It the case where Adobe is showing the text with "no issues" (only at some zoom levels), this is a side effect of their font hinting, and at other zoom levels when this hinting does not take effect - they show the same issue as every other PDF tool we tested with. So there's nothing we can do really as the font in the file is the broken one and we are displaying it "as intended" by the information written in that file.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Rendering issue
Hi all,
It is strange that fonts like Arial, Calibri, Tahoma and Times New Roman are embedded as vectorized, while they are available by default in Microsoft Windows 10 and 11. Personally, I do not see an immediate reason for embedding them.
I also wonder how the example file File_rendering issue.pdf has been made ?
It seems to be created with PDF-XChange Editor, not with Adobe (see Document Properties).
It would be interesting to see the original OCR'ed pdf created by Adobe.
Or, maybe the pdf with scanned content has been made with PDF-XChange Editor and treated with Adobe for OCR ?
Kind regards.

Hi,
@Stefan
Thanks for the follow-up.
The file have PDF-XChnage Editor in Document Propreties because it's only a sample I extracted using PDFXCE. The original file was created using Adobe Acrobat OCR Editable Output (formerly ClearScan).Willy Van Nuffel wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 2:39 pm I also wonder how the example file File_rendering issue.pdf has been made ?
