Hello Daniel, thank you for taking the time to look into this.
I am not deselecting the typewriter or textbox comment. In the video, the mouse cursor is moved to indicate the point of interest for presentation purposes, but the save command silently goes from grayed out to active without moving the mouse cursor.
Please take a look at the video below. The video shows the following sequence of operations.
- Case A : A text box is created by dragging an area.
- Case B : Use the shortcut keys Alt+Tab to bring up the Task Manager and finally activate the PDF-XChange Editor again.
- Case C : Activate the Hand tool, deselect the comment, and complete the creation of the text box.
At the completion of each of these operations, please pay attention to the following four points
- Status of the Save command icon on the Quick Access Toolbar (enabled or disabled)
- Presence of an asterisk at the end of the window title
- Presence of an asterisk at the end of the tab title
- Comment pane items

At Case B, there is still no comment in the comment pane, but the Save command is enabled and there is an asterisk at the end of the window title. From your comment, I am afraid that you are not aware that this condition exists. Incidentally, I pointed out in
the previous topic that there is a difference between window titles and tab titles with and without the asterisk.
In any case, it is a very minor detail, and if you say it is all intended by the developer, then I have no choice but to agree with you. However, what I pointed out in
case 2 in the previous topic has been silently improved in build 394.
In my previous report, I focused on window and tab titles, but since the behavior changed in build 394, it means that the developers agreed with some of my past assertions. Given that, this report, which adds a comparison with the save command, might also be of interest to developers, surprisingly.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message.
Best regards,
rakunavi
