Hello,
the behaviour when holding the middle mouse button seems to have changed in the latest build of PDF-XChange Editor. In the thread
viewtopic.php?t=42328
a user requested to link the middle mouse button to the hand tool. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the behaviour has changed to the worse and I cannot find a way to change the new settings to the previous behaviour (--> holding the middle mouse button resulted in a continuous scrolling, where the scrolling followed the direction of the mouse). I always liked the possibility to scroll very fast through large PDFs by simply holding the middle mouse button.
Am I maybe missing something? Is there a way to change back the described behaviour?
Best Regards,
EnViDiaLP

Re: Enable continuous scrolling when holding the middle mouse button again
I have accidentally noticed, that you can press the middle mouse button (without holding it) and then the continuous scrolling is activated until the middle mouse button is pressed again. This is exactly what I needed.
Nevertheless it's a bit surprising for me, that keeping the left or the middle mouse button pressed, leads to the same functionality. I guess, this might be a little bit confusing for other users, too.

Hello EnViDiaLP,
Welcome to our forums!
Glad to hear your middle mouse click now works as you need it to.
Please note that some of those settings might also be controlled by your mouse settings, so when you set a different action for your middle mouse click in windows - this will affect the behaviour in the Editor as well.
For me the "default" sets the "scroll start", and this option: Does set it up to zoom mode.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Enable continuous scrolling when holding the middle mouse button again
The feature i am missing at the moment is where you can hold the middle mouse to scroll, and release to stop.
This is how my mouse functions in every other program, so its not a windows setting. This is also what the first user mentioned.
The current behavior where you need to click to start and click to stop makes it hard for me to use.

Re: Enable continuous scrolling when holding the middle mouse button again
This is not the behavior i am looking for. All this does is change it to a "swipe mode" as if you are on a mobile device.
I am looking for the function where i can hold and drag for autoscroll, and stop when releasing the middle mouse. It works now with a click and then it turns on autoscroll, but the hold functionality is in any other program, making it counter intuitive for me to use.

Hello, SjoAkk
Please do ensure that you are fully up to date, build 394 and 395 had a bug wherein this option, despite existing, did not have the intended effect. If you are running build 396, you should find that this option does exactly what you need it to do.
Kind regards,

I should've read the reply better, but yeah, updating solved the issue!
Thanks.
