Hello, a PDF document contains a table intended as a "structure" composed of rows and columns, but its export to Excel is very messy.
The starting table is actually very clean, the divisions of rows and columns are missing graphically but the structure is clear.
Is it possible to make some changes to the PDF file to facilitate a correct export?
Greetings
PDF table does not export correctly to Excel

Re: PDF table does not export correctly to Excel
Hello, Davide78
These 3 options will have the largest impact on the layout of the resultant Excel File, and depending on the document layout, you may need to change them on a case-by-case basis to get the best result. Generally, the settings I have show should be the closest to a "catch all" solution, but there are always exceptions.
In any case, if you are experiencing issues with the conversion quality, it would be best if you could provide sample files, both the PDF, and the output Excel file, as well as a screenshot of your Convert to Excel settings.
Kind regards,

I couldn't find the settings you mention.
I attach files used to explain better.

Re: PDF table does not export correctly to Excel
Hello,
Supposing you are using the latest version 10.6.0 build 396 of PDF-XChange Editor, you will see the "Convert to Excel Options" from the moment that you have clicked the File-menu > Export > Export to Microsoft Excel.
Kind regards.
Willy

Hello Davide78,
Thank you for the provided files.
In this document's case you will have a better result if you use the settings that Willy provided, but not use the "Make Invisible Text Visible..." option : And this will produce more cleaner result:
I hope this helps.

In fact your export is almost perfect...unfortunately I have a previous build, the layout of the settings window is different, but there is the same flag that you suggest me to disable...unfortunately the result is better but not as much as yours

Hello, Davide78
In that case, the only solution we can offer you is to update the software to the current latest release, if you wish to benefit from the latest improvements to the software.

Re: PDF table does not export correctly to Excel
Unfortunately it doesn't depend on me...
I solved it using a free online service but I hope to be equipped with the most recent build of the program in the future
