signature on multiple pages

Post by kleinejan83 »

Hello,
If I add a signature (my logo) it will be on 1 page.
If I copy the signature and paste it to a other page, I can not validate it, and it is adjustable.

How can I add the same signature on multiple pages at the same time, on the same place?

Thank you in advance.

You do not say how you are adding the signature but, say, you are using the Pencil tool on a page, then you are creating additions that can be found in the Comments panel and are called Pencil.

Those 'Comments' can be duplicated using the Duplicate tool

and you can specify how you want the signatures duplicated. It should work for adding the signature in ways other than the Pencil tool, as well.

If you have the Editor Plus and are signing with a certificate you can place a Signature field and copy it over to other pages. Make sure that the field name stays the same (it would by default). Then signing 1 field will sign them all and they all be verifiable.

I'm trying to understand how this is done. I am using Protect -> Place signature, but I can only place it in one location. How can I add it to multiple pages?
Thanks!

Hello, RFreund

To place a signature on multiple pages, you need to prepare the document before placement. A few requirements to do so:
  • 1. The document cannot have security which prevents form field editing (Such as another signature already in place)
    2. You must have a license covering our Editor Plus functions, otherwise demo stamps would be applied by this.
2.1 (Alternative - A PDF-Tools license does allow for multi-placement of signatures without explicitly having an Editor Plus license, though it can only be done through the tools application, not in the Editor while you are viewing the file)
In the case of the Editor Plus, what you would do is look to the "form" tab, and place an empty "signature" field in your document.

From there, switch to the "select fields" tool, and right click on the field, to choose "duplicate":

With the duplicate tool, specify the placement page range, and ensure only 1 copy per page, then ensure the "offset" is zero:

After this, you will have a mirrored "widget" which displays the same data in that field on each page, in those coordinates.

Now you can switch to the "hand" tool, and click inside any one of these fields, to place your signature. Once you have saved and re-opened the document, you will have one digital signature, that is displayed in multiple locations throughout the document.
