dot hatches

Post by meise »

Hello,

the dot hatches (see attached screenshot) are not visible when we use the PDF-XChange Viewer.
However, we can see them in Adobe Acrobat.
Can anyone help to solve this problem?

In the attached screenshot you can see Adobe Reader on the left (display settings as desired) and PDF-XChange Editor on the right (in which it should also look like in Adobe Reader).

The operating system of the PC is Windows 11 24H2.

How can we change the display settings as desired?
Thank you very much!

Hello, meise

Would it be possible for you to share with us a copy of one of these documents? If they contain sensitive data, please email Support@PDF-XChange.com with a link to this forum post so we can investigate the cause.

Kind regards,

Hello Daniel,

thanks for your feedback.

I have already sent the file to your support address originally.
That was in mid-December last year.
To be precise, on December 11, 2024.

At the beginning of January, I received the latest feedback that the issue would be passed on to your developers.
Any further emails from me were then no longer answered.
I have been trying this for months.
That's why I wrote this post in the forum yesterday.

If you can't find the email with the PDF, I'll be happy to resend it to the support address.
I hope it will then be processed.
Otherwise I'll first have to clarify whether it's okay to post it here in a public forum.

Hello, meise

Thank you for the details, It took a moment, but I was able to locate the file in question, and I see the same here. I do see that Dimitar did forward this to the Dev team at the time (once on December 11th, and again on Jan 2nd, following your second email).

[Edited content] I removed my previous post after hearing back from Dimitar and the Dev team both. If you read my previous post, please re-read this new content!

It seems that the dev team response was hidden away, and unfortunately Dimitar's replies to you simply never arrived. What I Thought I saw was inverted from the initial report (I use the Editor on the left with Adobe on the right for comparisons... I didn't look closely at the UI in your screenshot because I was comparing the document content, and for that mistake I apologize).

This does appear to have been addressed, and should be working properly if you update your software to build 396!

Kind regards,

Hello Daniel,

thank you for clearing up the subject.
I have just updated the application on the user's PC to the version you mentioned and now the display of said PDF is as desired.
