Hello,
I'm having an issue with my 4K screen when using PDF-XChange Editor. In my file, pink boxes are appearing.
I tried changing the color profile in the settings, but nothing happens. Please note that I don't have this problem on my PC screen—it's only on my 4K screen (see attached image).
Could you please help me?

Re: Color issue (fields in pink)
Hello, LuJo
Thank you for the report, Could I ask you for a copy of the document, so we can compare the content to what you are seeing here?
Based on your description of this only being visible on a single monitor, it sounds like a color profile error, so I would advise you use the windows updater and check if any updates available (Including optional updates) Since those can sometimes include color profiles, or drivers which affect the interpretation of said profiles. As usual please do ensure you restart the system after installing any such updates, to ensure the changes can take effect.
Kind regards,

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
You will find the file attached.
I have the most recent version, so I am up to date.
Do you have another solution to suggest, please?

Re: Color issue (fields in pink)
Hello, LuJo
Thank you for the sample file, there do appear to be "gray" objects present in these locations, which lends to the idea that the issue here is related to your color profiles.
I do need to clarify on that front, while I am glad to hear you have the latest version, I was not referring to updateing our software in this case. Specifically, I was asking you to open your Windows "Check for updates" feature, and ensure that you have all the latest, including optional updates, installed: Can you please double check that you have all updates, including the optional ones installed, and then restart the PC and see if that helps?
After trying that, if the issue persists, to get started we will need the following items:
1. In the Editor, a screenshot of “Preferences -> Color Management” dialog.
2. An export of the Editor application settings (File > Manage settings > Export settings)
3. Open the start menu, and type "color management". In the opened window, move over to the "advanced" tab and then click "change system defaults". From there, a nearly identical window should open. In this second window, take a screenshot of the "Advanced" tab. Then on the "all profiles" tab, take a few screenshots as you scroll down through the list presented there so we can compare the list to what is available in the Editor.
4. Open the following folder, and copy the content into a new zipped folder, and include those in your reply:
C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color
5. (If not already provided) A copy of any one document you see this issue with, and screenshots showing a problematic part of this document on your end.
With that, we can pass this data along to our Dev team for review, they can hopefully identity the cause of the issue, and provide a suitable solution.
Kind regards,

Re: Color issue (fields in pink)
Hello Daniel,
Thank you for your response.
You will find below the answers to your questions:
"Can you please double check that you have all updates, including the optional ones installed, and then restart the PC and see if that helps?" I have indeed performed the check using the "Check for updates" function in Windows, and everything is up to date, including the optional updates.
1. In the Editor, a screenshot of “Preferences -> Color Management” dialog. (see Attached) 2. An export of the Editor application settings (File > Manage settings > Export settings) (I can't add this file; I get an error when I try to upload it because it's in .xces format.)
(see Attached) 4. Open the following folder, and copy the content into a new zipped folder, and include those in your reply:
C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color (see Attached) 5. (If not already provided) A copy of any one document you see this issue with, and screenshots showing a problematic part of this document on your end. (see Attached) Thank you

Re: Color issue (fields in pink)
Hello, LuJo
Thank you for that, and my apologies about the settings upload, I normally send that template via email instead of on the forums, and forgot those uploads are blocked here.
Please upload the *.xces file here, and let me know once that is done.

I will pass it all along once you let me know the upload is complete.
Kind regards,
