Hey guys,
I've noticed that recently, all my popup windows are transparent. This makes it difficult to read measurements and all that. I've also noticed the little window behind other options has turned white (or also transparent).
I don't think it has always been like this. It used to have a solid colour behind to read easier. I've tried looking up settings to change this but I couldn't find any.
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Transparent Popup windows
Hello, lokidoki
Could I possibly ask for a screenshot showing the issue, and a sample of an affected file? (it can be a new blank dummy file with one of the problematic items added to it). Comment popups should be "semi-transparent" but... they should not be so transparent as to cause difficulty reading them.
I believe a number of builds ago, there was a bug which caused the comment popup windows to improperly inherit some of the UI color options, but that should have since been resolved.
Kind regards,

Hi! thanks for the fast response! hope this attachments works. I currently have white text because I like my windows dark, so thats why you can't see the text well. But it used to have some colour behind so it was easier to see.

Hello lokidoki,
Thanks for the follow up.
So if I undetstand the above image correctly - you have changed the UI colours from their defaults?
When you speak of pop-ups do you mean context menus that show when you are trying to access e.g. the styles of a custom tool, or do you mean the pop-up that shows when you double click e.g. a measurement annotation?
I am asking not just to be pedantic, but to be able to understand where exactly your transparency appears.
Please see the below image: Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Transparent Popup windows
Hi Stefan! Thanks for the reply.
Yes correct I have changed the UI colours, but this transparency issue has come up without any further changes on my end. There used to be colour where the transparency is.
Pop-ups: Looks like both the context menus and the small pop-ups for annotations are both transparent. I have also reset the preferences to default, and the transparency remains
Also dont worry about being pedantic! If it helps get to the cause of it then I am more than happy to answer questions. I've added a snip below.

Re: Transparent Popup windows
Hello, lokidoki
From what I can see here, I would have expected this to be a simple case of misplaced settings, however, our UI customizations do not allow for control of transparency in these options, so that leads me to wonder if perhaps you have a third party tool installed which could be having an effect on the colors? Can you check your system tray for any non-windows native background applications, and ensure they are not running, then restart the Editor to see if that helps?
If that has no effect, an export of your settings may be helpful. If you click "File > Manage settings > Export settings" you can choose which aspects to export. We should only need the "common" and "presets" settings for this case.
Then zip the created file, and send it to us here.
Kind regards,

Re: Transparent Popup windows
Just a guess here: If the text is set to white, try setting "Face" to a dark color:
