How to disable scrolling animation when selecting a comment in the Comments pane?

Hello all,

When the Comments pane is open, the Comments pane automatically scrolls to the position where the corresponding comment is visible when you select a comment with the Select Comments tool. The scrolling has an animated effect like in the video, is there any way to disable this effect?

It may look cool the first time you see it, but the more you use it, the more users seem to find this effect useless. If you select a link in the same way in the Links pane, the corresponding link will appear instantly. Personally, I would appreciate it more if it could be displayed instantly in this way, and I feel it is more sophisticated.

I don't believe there is a way to disable this at the moment, but I have raised this with the Dev team as a potential feature request.
