Managing scanners
In PDF-XChange Editor, in the Scan Properties screen, a list of scanner possibilities are available in the pull-down for the Scanner line. This lists installed WIA and TWAIN scanners that have been previously added. However, some of these entries are outdated or need to be edited, but I can't find anywhere where this list of scanners can be maintained. The only thing that can be managed is the Scanner Profiles - but not the actual list of scanners themselves. For scanners that don't exist on the system anymore or aren't needed - like the 32-bit versions of some of the drivers - I would like to be able to edit or manage this list. Hopefully someone can help me do this.

Re: Managing scanners
Hello, wjclerk
Windows provides us with a list of the installed/available devices, and we make direct use of that list. If additional items are appearing, that would indicate that you have not removed those devices/drivers from the system itself yet.
Please check your installed drivers, and the windows "printers&scanners" menu, to ensure that all old device drivers have been removed properly. Then restart your device to finalize those changes, and the Editor should get a more "clean" list.
Kind regards,
