Sequence of actions to reproduce
1. Set in Preferences / General / High DPI Support / High DPI scaling behavior: "always use standard resolution (96 dpi)". Restart PDF-XChange Editor if you had a different value.
2. Open or create a new document in PDF-XChange Editor.
3. Drag a png file measuring 552 × 791 px to the Thumbnails pane. A page measuring 146.05 × 209.29 mm will be created. Image DPI is 96 × 96.
4. Copy the image from the same png file to the clipboard.
5. Thumbnails pane / RMB / Paste Special (Insert Pages from Clipboard) / Options / New Page Options / Type: By Image ("Select Paper Size: by Image Size") / OK.
͏
Expected behavior
Both inserted pages are identical
͏
Observed behavior
The second inserted page (using the clipboard) is 194.73 × 279.05 mm in size, the image completely fills the page without distorting the aspect ratio, the image size is the original, but the image DPI is 72.

Re: Page size when inserting an image from the clipboard using the Insert Pages from Clipboard command
Hello Jensen Head,
I've asked our devs whether that is something we can fix. It might be that the clipboard reports it uses 72 DPI, and we then take that value for the page size. Will post again here once we have an update from the devs.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Page size when inserting an image from the clipboard using the Insert Pages from Clipboard command
Hello,
Good news, I am working with an internal testing build today, and it seems that there has been some progress on this. I cannot say with certainty that it is fully resolved yet, it is on its way, and likely will have some improvements, if not be entirely fixed with the next release.
Kind regards,
